Op de kruising werd een fietser geschept door een personenauto. De fietser kwam daarbij ten val. Hulpdiensten waren snel ter plaatse. Behalve de politie en een ambulance werd ook een traumahelikopter ter plaatse gestuurd. De helikopter landde in de buurt van het ongeluk. Verpleegkundigen hebben het slachtoffer gestabiliseerd. Daarna is deze met onbekende verwondingen in een ambulance overgebracht naar het ziekenhuis. De politie heeft onderzoek gedaan naar de toedracht. Vanwege het ongeluk en het onderzoek was de weg afgesloten.
